Role Description The Data Scientist will work on-site in Janakpuri in a full-time capacity, collaborating closely with product, content, and engineering teams to turn cricket-related data into actionable insights. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and cleaning data from multiple internal and external sources, building analytical models to understand fan behavior, and developing predictive insights for engagement and content performance. The role involves designing and maintaining dashboards and visualizations to track key performance metrics, as well as conducting statistical analyses to guide editorial decisions and product improvements. The Data Scientist will also experiment with new data-driven features, support A/B testing, and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Data Science and Statistics, with the ability to design experiments and interpret complex datasets.
Proficiency in Data Analytics and Data Analysis, including data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory analysis.
Experience with Data Visualization, using tools or libraries to build clear, insightful dashboards and reports.
Hands-on experience with programming languages commonly used in data work (such as Python or R) and SQL for working with databases.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or related discipline).
Ability to communicate analytical findings in a clear, concise manner to diverse audiences and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
Interest in cricket and sports analytics, with curiosity to explore fan behavior, match data, and engagement patterns.
Experience with machine learning methods, cloud platforms, or real-time data processing is a plus.
