Role Description The Head Nurse at Prvnt is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position oversees nursing operations, including staff supervision, shift planning, and adherence to clinical protocols aligned with preventive care. The Head Nurse coordinates patient care pathways, ensures safe administration of treatments, and collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support early risk detection and intervention. Daily responsibilities include monitoring quality of care, guiding nurses in complex cases, managing documentation and compliance, and supporting the integration of diagnostic, wearable, and therapy data into patient care plans. The role also involves mentoring nursing staff, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and promoting a patient-centered, preventive health culture.
Qualifications
Strong clinical foundation in Nursing and Medicine, with the ability to apply evidence-based practices to preventive and acute care.
Proficiency in Nursing Management, including team leadership, staffing, workflow optimization, and policy implementation.
Experience in Patient Care delivery, with a focus on safety, compassionate communication, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
Background in Critical Care Medicine or exposure to high-acuity settings, with skill in handling complex and time-sensitive clinical situations.
Valid nursing registration/license and a degree in Nursing (B.Sc. or equivalent; M.Sc. or additional certifications are an advantage).
Experience in hospital or clinic settings, preferably in roles involving supervisory responsibilities or unit management.
Knowledge of electronic health records and comfort working with digital tools, diagnostics, and data-driven care processes.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and support change in clinical practices.
