Role Description The Commi Chef – Continental will support the kitchen team in preparing and cooking continental dishes, with a focus on breakfast and café-style menu items. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with food preparation, following recipes and plating standards, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring ingredients are stored and handled correctly. The role involves working closely with senior chefs, helping with stock rotation, and coordinating with service staff to deliver timely and consistent dishes. This is a full-time, on-site position based at Bruno's Cafe in Jalandhar, requiring flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and peak hours as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Food Preparation and Cooking skills, with basic knowledge of continental cuisine.
Candidates should possess solid Culinary Skills, including understanding of recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
Candidates should possess good Hygiene practices, including knowledge of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen sanitation.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and service teams.
Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hotel kitchen is beneficial.
Formal culinary training or certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail.
