Key Responsibilities for Logistics Managers
Manage and oversee end-to-end logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, distribution, and delivery.
Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods.
Develop logistics plans, transportation schedules, delivery routes, and distribution strategies.
Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, carriers, warehouses, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor shipments, deliveries, transit times, transportation costs, and service levels.
Manage logistics vendors, freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers, and transportation partners.
Negotiate transportation rates, service agreements, contracts, and operational terms with logistics service providers.
Track and resolve shipment delays, delivery issues, damages, shortages, and transportation-related discrepancies.
Ensure accurate documentation for shipments, dispatches, deliveries, customs, and transportation activities.
Monitor logistics budgets, freight costs, operational expenses, and opportunities for cost reduction.
Implement logistics processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency.
Coordinate with procurement, inventory, warehouse, production, sales, customer service, and supply chain teams.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety requirements, company policies, and applicable international logistics standards.
Monitor key logistics KPIs including on-time delivery, transportation cost, order fulfillment, shipment accuracy, and delivery performance.
Prepare logistics reports, dashboards, performance analyses, and management updates.
Identify opportunities to optimize transportation networks, improve delivery performance, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Eligibility Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
