Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Branch Sales Manager – Gold Loans role based in Karnataka, India. The Branch Sales Manager will oversee branch-level gold loan operations, including achieving sales targets, driving customer acquisition, and managing the performance of the sales team. Responsibilities include building and nurturing relationships with customers and local partners, ensuring high service standards, and promoting gold loan products in the branch’s catchment area. The role also involves monitoring portfolio quality, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines, and maintaining strong controls over documentation, valuation, and security of pledged gold. The Branch Sales Manager will prepare regular performance reports, support training and development of branch staff, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, with experience in achieving branch-level targets and growing gold loan or retail lending portfolios.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a branch team, including performance monitoring, coaching, and delegation.
Knowledge of retail lending operations, particularly gold loans, including processes for documentation, valuation, risk assessment, and collections.
Sound understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services, with a focus on secure handling of customer assets and data.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers, local partners, and internal stakeholders.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to track branch performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
Comfort with using technology and branch-level systems for loan processing, customer management, and reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; relevant experience in banking or NBFC gold loan operations is highly preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Karnataka, manage local market dynamics, and build relationships within the branch’s catchment area.
