· Maintenance Planning & Execution
o Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for critical mechanical equipment.
o Supervise corrective maintenance activities to minimize production disruptions.
o Ensure availability of spare parts and maintenance tools.
· Safety & Compliance
o Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols for maintenance in explosive atmospheres.
o Ensure compliance with PESO regulations, ATEX/IECEx certification requirements, and factory safety laws.
o Conduct risk assessments and implement safe work practices
· Equipment Reliability
o Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
o Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
· Team Leadership
o Supervise and train mechanical maintenance staff in safe handling and repair of equipment.
o Build competency matrices and qualification programs for maintenance personnel.
· Coordination & Collaboration
o Work closely with production, quality, and EHS teams to align maintenance with operational needs.
o Support plant shutdowns, commissioning, and equipment upgrades.
· Documentation & Reporting
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance audits.
o Prepare reports on downtime, maintenance costs, and reliability metrics.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
· Minimum 8–10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in chemical, explosive, or hazardous industries.
· Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and utilities.
Desired Skills & Competencies
· Expertise in preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance.
· Strong understanding of hazardous area equipment compliance (ATEX, IECEx, PESO).
