Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist role based in Hyderabad. The EHS Specialist will develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures that comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company requirements. Daily tasks include conducting workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations, as well as monitoring compliance with safety protocols and environmental guidelines. The role involves planning and delivering safety training programs, maintaining EHS documentation and reports, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive corrective and preventive actions. The EHS Specialist will also support emergency preparedness, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Health & Safety skills, with experience in implementing EHS management systems.
Candidates should possess Occupational Health and Workplace Safety skills, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
Candidates should possess Safety Training skills, with the ability to design and deliver effective training sessions for diverse teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant EHS certifications are an advantage.
Knowledge of applicable Indian safety and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices in manufacturing or heavy industry.
Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical guidelines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and promote a safety-first culture.
Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Experience in Explosives, Pharma and Chemical industries
