Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PLC Programmer role located in Hyderabad. The PLC Programmer will design, develop, and modify PLC programs for automated manufacturing and industrial control systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment. Daily tasks include configuring hardware, integrating sensors and actuators, troubleshooting control system issues, and optimizing logic for performance and reliability. The role involves preparing technical documentation, collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers, supporting commissioning and testing of new installations, and providing on-site support for maintenance teams. The PLC Programmer will also participate in continuous improvement initiatives, implement changes aligned with safety and quality standards, and assist in training operations staff on system functionality.
Qualifications
Strong PLC programming skills (e.g., ladder logic, function block, structured text) and experience with common PLC platforms (such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar).
Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems, including SCADA/HMI configuration, industrial networks, sensors, actuators, and process instrumentation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs, and collaborate effectively with electrical and mechanical engineering teams.
Experience in commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC-controlled machinery in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Understanding of safety standards and compliance requirements related to industrial automation and hazardous environments.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to document code and system changes clearly.
Willingness to work on-site in Hyderabad, support shift or extended hours when required, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
