Role Description This full-time, on-site Pastry Chef Commi role is based at Della Resorts & Adventure in Khandala. The Pastry Chef Commi supports the pastry section by preparing and baking breads, desserts, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards. Daily responsibilities include organizing mise en place, assisting with food preparation, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and ensuring consistent product quality and presentation. The role involves coordinating with senior chefs, contributing to menu development, and managing storage and labeling of ingredients. The Pastry Chef Commi also helps minimize food wastage, follows cost-control guidelines, and supports smooth kitchen operations during service.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Bakery and Baking skills, with experience preparing a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts.
Candidates should possess solid Food Preparation and Cooking skills, including mise en place, portioning, and plating in a professional kitchen.
Candidates should possess core Culinary Skills, including knowledge of pastry techniques, food safety standards, and basic kitchen equipment handling.
Relevant culinary or pastry certification or diploma from a recognized institute is preferred.
Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or high-volume pastry kitchen is an advantage.
Ability to follow recipes accurately, maintain hygiene and sanitation, and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hospitality operations.
