Role Description The Deputy Sales Manager (Pro Active Sales) is a full-time, on-site role based at Aldovia Resort & Convention in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for proactively identifying, approaching, and converting new business opportunities across corporate, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), wedding, and leisure segments. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and generating leads, conducting sales calls and client meetings, preparing proposals and presentations, and managing the sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets. The Deputy Sales Manager will maintain strong relationships with key accounts, coordinate site visits and property familiarization tours, and collaborate with operations, events, and marketing teams to ensure seamless delivery of contracted events. The role also involves monitoring market trends and competitor activity, maintaining accurate sales reports, and contributing to sales strategies that enhance Aldovia’s brand presence and profitability.
Qualifications
Proven experience in hotel, resort, or convention center sales, with a focus on proactive business development and account management.
Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, client relationship building, and closing sales in corporate, MICE, and wedding segments.
Ability to prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts, with solid negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of sales reporting, CRM tools, and basic revenue management principles to track performance and optimize business opportunities.
Excellent interpersonal skills, professional presentation, and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Experience working in the Bengaluru hospitality or events market is an advantage, along with familiarity with large-scale conventions and destination weddings.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs and event schedules.
