Role Overview
Khaitan India Ltd. is looking for an energetic, target-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead sales operations, distribution development, and revenue expansion across Hyderabad and surrounding urban/semi-urban clusters.
The selected candidate will take ownership of primary and secondary sales targets, lead the field sales team, enforce beat coverage, and aggressively scale retail presence across electrical counters, appliance stores, and wholesale trade.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Sales Target Delivery: Plan and execute territory sales strategies to consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (volume and value) for fans, appliances, and consumer durable products.
Distribution & Channel Expansion: Scout, appoint, and manage high-performing distributors, wholesalers, and retail dealer networks across Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and adjoining Telangana markets.
Secondary Sales & Beat Discipline: Enforce strict Permanent Journey Plans (PJP) and beat adherence among Sales Officers and Territory Executives to drive counter-level extraction and healthy stock rotation.
Commercial & Credit Governance: Oversee distributor billing, enforce credit limits, ensure timely payment collections, and maintain healthy distributor ROI.
Trade Engagement & Visibility: Roll out competitive dealer incentive schemes, festive promotions, electrician/retailer meets, and in-store display branding to dominate counter space.
Depot & Logistics Coordination: Work closely with the local C&F depot and supply chain teams to forecast demand accurately, ensure timely order dispatch, and avoid stock-outs of fast-moving SKUs.
Market Intelligence: Track competitor pricing, new product launches, and trade scheme dynamics across the twin cities to provide real-time intelligence to senior management.
Candidate Profile
Core Category Experience: 10–12 years of hands-on channel sales experience strictly in Ceiling Fans, Home Appliances (SDA), or Consumer Durables.
Territory Network: Strong, pre-established relationships with electrical, lighting, and appliance distributors/dealers across Hyderabad and Telangana.
Commercial Acumen: Strong command over trade pricing structures, dealer margins, scheme costing, and credit risk control.
Team Leadership: Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and driving targets through field sales officers.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Telugu and Hindi/English is required for effective market and team management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; an MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing is preferred.
