English Proof reader Freelance

Role Description This is a remote, contract role for an English Proofreader at RR.T. The English Proofreader will review and refine written materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, focusing on spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style. Daily tasks include proofreading marketing copy, internal documents, and client-facing content, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and tone of voice. The role may involve light editing, quality checks on translated content, and providing clear feedback to writers and project managers. The English Proofreader will collaborate with distributed teams, manage assigned tasks within agreed timelines, and maintain high standards across all deliverables.
Qualifications
Strong command of English spelling and grammar, with proven proofreading experience.
Effective communication skills for providing clear, constructive feedback and collaborating with remote teams.
Experience with reviewing and supporting translation work to ensure accuracy and natural language flow.
Attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Familiarity with style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago) and digital collaboration tools.
Prior experience in marketing, creative, or agency environments is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
