Role Description The Field Service Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ranchi. This role involves visiting customer locations to install, maintain, and repair equipment, ensuring that systems operate safely and efficiently. The Field Service Engineer will diagnose technical issues, perform troubleshooting, and carry out scheduled preventive maintenance activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing hands-on technical support, documenting service activities, and communicating clearly with customers about findings, solutions, and follow-up actions. The role also requires close coordination with internal teams to escalate complex issues, maintain spare parts and tools, and adhere to company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Strong Field Service experience, including on-site equipment installation, configuration, and repair.
Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical or electronic issues efficiently.
Hands-on Preventive Maintenance skills, including scheduled inspections, calibration, and replacement of wear-and-tear components.
Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build professional relationships.
Relevant technical education, such as a diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronics, or related field).
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
Willingness to travel locally or regionally as required and work in field environments.
Basic knowledge of safety standards, compliance requirements, and proper use of tools and test equipment.
Good problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Comfort with using computers and mobile devices for reporting, documentation, and communication.
