About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
BathStory is a design-first, new-age bath-fittings brand on a mission to build the brand for all things bathroom in India. For a brand like ours, design isn't decoration, it's how the whole thing gets built. It's how people come to know us, trust us, and remember us.
And we're early. That's the exciting part: our visual identity is still being shaped, and this role will be central to building it. You won't be just maintaining a look someone else created, but you'll help define how BathStory's visual identity expands. We're looking for a genuinely strong designer, with real taste, to do exactly that.
This is a design-first role. You'll:
Help define our visual identity and design language as the brand takes shape
Own our visual output across social media, website, ads, packaging, and brand campaigns
Translate a fast-moving brand into design that's clean, distinctive, and unmistakably BathStory
Work closely in the marketing team to turn ideas into scroll-stopping creative
Use AI tools smartly to move faster and push ideas further, not as a crutch, but as part of how you work
You're right for this if:
You're a genuinely strong designer with real taste: a portfolio that shows craft, range, and a point of view is the non-negotiable here
You have 1-3 years of experience in creative/graphic design roles. This could be as a freelance designer, designer at a creative/design agency/studio or a designer working in the marketing/creative team of a consumer brand.
Taste and judgement are your edge: you're aware of latest design trends, you know why something works, not just how to make it
You're fluent with AI design tools and excited by what they let you do
You have a sharp eye for layout, type, and detail, and you sweat the small stuff.
Some video or motion ability is a real plus (Reels, short-form edits, simple motion graphics)
You're genuinely interested in design, and building a brand people notice
You take full ownership and thrive with a blank canvas - you'll help build this
Advanced skills in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, ProCreate, InDesign, or similar)
You have the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage deadlines
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field preferred.
If you want to shape the visual identity of a growing D2C brand from its early days, and you've got the portfolio and the taste to back it up, we'd love to see your work, so do apply!
