Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cooling Tower Expert based in Hyderabad. The role involves overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of industrial cooling towers, including monitoring key parameters such as water quality, temperature, flow rates, and equipment efficiency. The Cooling Tower Expert will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, process, and water-related issues, recommend corrective actions, and coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to implement improvements. Responsibilities include developing and following maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, preparing technical reports, and supporting upgrades or retrofits to improve reliability and energy efficiency. The role also includes training site personnel on best practices for cooling tower operation and contributing technical input to projects involving water treatment and cooling systems.
Qualifications
Strong technical expertise in cooling tower operation, maintenance, and performance optimization, including familiarity with different cooling tower designs and components.
Knowledge of water chemistry and treatment related to cooling systems, including scaling, corrosion, microbiological control, and blowdown management.
Experience with mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, motors, and heat exchangers, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and basic repair practices.
Understanding of industrial process cooling, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles relevant to cooling tower efficiency and capacity planning.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, OEM manuals, and performance data, and to prepare concise technical reports and documentation.
Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations related to industrial water systems, chemical handling, and on-site operations.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant certifications in cooling tower or water treatment technologies are an advantage.
Proven experience in industrial cooling tower projects or plant operations, preferably in power, process, manufacturing, or large utilities environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
Willingness to work at the Hyderabad location with flexibility for shift schedules or on-site demands
