Special Education Teacher

Age Group: 2–6 years
Kove, a part of KLAY Preschools and Daycare, is looking for a Facilitator to join our classroom team and work with children between 2 and 6 years of age.
The Facilitator will play an important role in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where children with different developmental and learning needs can participate, learn, communicate, play, and develop at their own pace.
The Role
As a Facilitator, you will work alongside the classroom team to understand and respond to the individual needs of children while ensuring that they remain meaningfully engaged in the larger classroom environment.
You will:
Support children through everyday classroom routines, activities, play, and learning experiences.
Facilitate age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental, learning, communication, social, and functional skills.
Understand each child's strengths, interests, developmental needs, and preferred ways of learning.
Adapt activities, materials, instructions, and interactions to help individual children participate successfully.
Provide appropriate support to children who may need additional assistance with communication, social interaction, learning, behaviour, regulation, or independence.
Observe children closely and use these observations to understand their progress and identify areas requiring further support.
Implement individualised strategies and goals within natural classroom routines and activities.
Maintain appropriate records and contribute to tracking children's development and progress.
Work collaboratively with teachers, special educators, therapists, psychologists, and other professionals involved in supporting the child.
Communicate relevant observations and progress with parents through the appropriate channels.
Participate in team meetings, child reviews, training, and professional development initiatives.
Who We're Looking For :
We are looking for a Special Educator or a professional with relevant experience in early childhood and developmental support who enjoys being actively involved in a classroom and working with young children.
You should have:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
Experience working with young children, preferably within the 2–6 years age group.
Experience supporting children with developmental, learning, communication, behavioural, or additional needs.
A good understanding of early childhood development and the ability to recognise and respond to individual differences.
The ability to balance individualised support with the needs of the classroom as a whole.
Strong observation and documentation skills.
The ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, special educators, and families.
Patience, consistency, flexibility, and a willingness to learn and adapt your approach.
Experience working with children with autism, developmental delays, ADHD, communication needs, learning difficulties, or other developmental differences will be an advantage.
An Important Part of This Opportunity
This role is based at Kove, Kokapet, Hyderabad, and requires regular, full-time presence at the centre.
We are specifically looking for candidates who are comfortable commuting to Kokapet and are able to consistently work from this location. Candidates should therefore consider the daily commute before applying and mention their current location in Hyderabad as part of their application.
