JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is not a traditional hospital-based engineering position.
We are seeking a customer-focused Field Service Engineer to support advanced Electrophysiology systems across Italy, Emerging Markets, and the wider EMEA region. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working independently, travelling extensively, and solving technical challenges in customer-facing environments.
Whether you are an experienced Field Service Engineer or an early-career engineer looking to build an international service career, this role offers significant exposure to cutting-edge medical technology, diverse healthcare systems, and international collaboration.
Is This the Right Role for You?
This position involves frequent travel, overnight stays, short-notice schedule changes, and responding to critical customer needs when system uptime is at risk.
Successful engineers typically enjoy:
Working from home to customer sites rather than a fixed location
Frequent travel across multiple countries
Managing their own schedules and priorities
Responding to urgent customer issues
Working independently while collaborating with a wider service team
If you prefer highly structured weeks, predictable schedules, or a predominantly site-based role, this position may not be the right fit.

Flexible workload allocation based on business demand
You will be part of a collaborative international service team, supporting customers wherever needed.

Travel extensively (70%+)
Collaborate with clinical, commercial, and technical teams across the region
What We're Looking ForMindset
We are looking for someone who:
Remains calm and effective when priorities change
Enjoys solving problems in dynamic environments
Takes ownership and acts quickly to support customers
Is comfortable with frequent travel and short-notice changes
Thrives in autonomous, customer-facing roles
Can work independently for extended periods
Experience & Skills
Previous field service, technical support, or customer-facing engineering experience preferred
Graduates or early-career engineers with qualifications in Biomedical, Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply
Candidates from hospital-based engineering backgrounds should demonstrate a genuine interest in transitioning to a highly mobile field service career
Strong troubleshooting skills in electronics, IT, and networking
Comfortable working within hospital and clinical environments

Additional European languages are advantageous
Travel & Location
Based in Milan or surrounding area with access to a major airport
High-travel role (70%+)
Regular travel across Italy, Emerging Markets, and EMEA
Short-notice travel should be expected
