Are you passionate about creating stunning visual effects that make gameplay feel powerful, responsive, and immersive? Do you want to learn how professional real-time VFX are created and implemented in Unreal Engine 5?
Akiyam Solutions is looking for creative and motivated Unreal Engine FX Artist Interns who want hands-on experience creating real-time visual effects using Unreal Engine 5 and the Niagara VFX System.
🎯 Responsibilities
• Create and implement real-time visual effects using Unreal Engine 5 Niagara
• Develop VFX for weapons, abilities, explosions, impacts, projectiles, environments, and gameplay events
• Create particle systems and Niagara emitters, systems, modules, and effects
• Develop stylized and realistic VFX that support gameplay feedback and visual storytelling
• Work with materials, shaders, textures, meshes, and dynamic parameters to create advanced effects
• Create effects such as fire, smoke, electricity, energy, sparks, debris, dust, muzzle flashes, bullet impacts, and environmental effects
• Integrate Niagara effects with gameplay systems and Blueprint events
• Assist with VFX for characters, abilities, weapons, cinematics, and interactive environments
• Work with Unreal Engine lighting, post-processing, and rendering features to enhance visual effects
• Optimize Niagara systems and VFX assets for real-time game performance
• Collaborate with programmers, game designers, animators, environment artists, and level designers
• Participate in playtesting, reviews, and iteration of VFX based on gameplay requirements and feedback
• Ensure VFX meet the project's artistic direction and technical performance standards
💡 Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5
• Knowledge of the Niagara VFX System
• Understanding of Niagara Emitters, Systems, Modules, Events, Parameters, and Dynamic Inputs
• Familiarity with Blueprint integration and gameplay-driven VFX
• Understanding of materials, shaders, textures, and dynamic material parameters
• Basic knowledge of HLSL or shader development is a plus
• Familiarity with Cascade or other particle systems is a plus
• Experience with Blender, Maya, Houdini, or similar 3D tools is a plus
• Understanding of real-time rendering and VFX optimization
• Knowledge of Sequencer and cinematic VFX workflows is a plus
• Portfolio showcasing Niagara effects, game VFX, particle effects, animations, or Unreal Engine projects

• This is an unpaid internship opportunity
• No stipend or salary will be provided during the internship period

✅ Eligibility
• Students/Freshers from Animation, Game Art, VFX, Computer Science, Game Development, Design, Fine Arts, or related fields
• Passion for visual effects, real-time graphics, and game development
• Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine, Niagara, particle systems, materials, or VFX production
• Personal VFX projects, Niagara experiments, demo reels, portfolios, or Unreal Engine projects are highly preferred
