Role Description This is a remote internship role for an Unreal Engine Developer Intern (Blueprint/C++). The intern will work with the development team to prototype, implement, and refine gameplay features, interactive systems, and simulation mechanics using Unreal Engine, focusing on Blueprints and C++. Daily tasks include collaborating on game and simulation design, implementing core functionality, optimizing performance, and debugging issues across different platforms. The intern will assist in integrating AI, physics, and XR features, contribute to gameplay balancing, and participate in code reviews and documentation. The role offers mentorship, hands-on experience in real projects, and exposure to advanced game and simulation pipelines.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Unreal Engine, with hands-on experience in Blueprint scripting and basic to intermediate C++ programming.
Understanding of core game development concepts such as gameplay programming, input systems, UI, and level design.
Familiarity with 3D math and physics principles relevant to game and simulation development.
Exposure to AR/VR/XR concepts or interest in immersive technologies and interactive simulations.
Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to read and follow technical documentation, write clean and maintainable code, and use version control tools (e.g., Git).
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, remote team environment.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to receive and apply feedback from mentors and peers.
Previous project work (academic, personal, or portfolio) demonstrating Unreal Engine or game development skills is a plus.
