Role Description The Senior Account Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting for assigned projects and business units. This role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledger entries, monitoring project-wise costs and revenues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. The Senior Account Officer will handle accounts payable and receivable, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, project teams, and banks. Day-to-day activities involve analyzing financial data, reconciling accounts, supporting cash flow management, and contributing to process improvements in the finance function. The role requires close collaboration with project managers and senior finance leadership to provide accurate, timely information that supports decision-making and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance and practical experience managing Financial Statements, general ledger accounting, and project-based financial reporting.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying variances, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Proven Communication abilities to collaborate effectively with internal teams, auditors, banks, and other stakeholders, and to present financial information clearly.
Customer-oriented mindset with solid Customer Service skills when responding to internal and external queries related to accounts, billing, and payments.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or MBA in Finance are an advantage.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and accounting software, along with strong MS Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
