Role Purpose
The Site Engineer Construction, Procurement & Facilities plays a critical role in overseeing hands-on site execution, quality assurance, and vendor management across residential and commercial projects. Acting as the owner’s representative, this role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to approved architectural and structural standards through precise procurement and rigorous cost control.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Site & Quality Management: Supervise day-to-day civil, MEP, waterproofing, and finishing works across villa and office sites to ensure strict compliance with architectural and structural drawings, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Procurement & Cost Optimization: Estimate material requirements, compare local market wholesale rates, negotiate with vendors, and manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials to optimize costs without compromising quality.
Coordination & Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between architects, structural consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve execution challenges promptly and keep project schedules on track.
Quantity Surveying & Billing Verification: Audit contractor measurements, cross-check material usage to prevent wastage or pilferage, and verify vendor invoices and petty cash expenses with penny-accurate financial precision.
Facilities Operations: Oversee the upkeep and safety of site infrastructure, including site offices, labor accommodations, storage yards, power/water utilities, and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications, Skills & Certifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Must-have skills:
8–10 years of site execution experience in residential (villas) and commercial office projects.
Deep understanding of civil/MEP drawings, material estimation, and quality control.
Local market knowledge of construction material suppliers, rates, and vendor negotiation in the Tricity (Mohali/Panchkula/Chandigarh) region.
Strong quantity surveying, contractor bill verification, and financial tracking skills.
Good-to-have:
Experience managing interior fit-out projects.
Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and construction progress reporting tools.
BOQ preparation and budget monitoring experience.
