About the Role
Ellwinkz is looking for a hands-on HR, Payroll, Compliance & Operations professional to manage the complete employee lifecycle and day-to-day HR operations at our factory in Dombivli.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in factory/manufacturing HR, payroll processing, labour-law compliance, employee relations, attendance management, and coordination with factory operations. This role requires someone who is comfortable working closely with workers, supervisors, management, contractors, and government/statutory authorities.
Key Responsibilities1. HR & Employee Management
Manage end-to-end HR activities for factory employees, workers, staff, and contract labour.
Handle recruitment, onboarding, joining formalities, documentation, transfers, confirmations, and exits.
Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR records.
Manage employee attendance, leave, shift schedules, overtime, and absenteeism.
Coordinate with supervisors and department heads regarding manpower requirements.
Address employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues.
Support employee engagement, welfare, communication, and retention initiatives.
Maintain proper HR policies, SOPs, registers, and documentation.
2. Payroll & Attendance
Manage monthly payroll processing for employees and workers.
Verify attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, deductions, advances, and other payroll inputs.
Coordinate payroll data with accounts/finance and ensure timely salary processing.
Handle salary-related employee queries and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain payroll records and reports.
Ensure accurate processing of statutory deductions such as PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, etc., as applicable.
Coordinate with payroll consultants/vendors where required.
3. Labour Law & Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable Central and Maharashtra labour laws and factory-related statutory requirements.
Manage statutory records, registers, returns, notices, licences, renewals, and documentation.
Coordinate PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund and other applicable statutory compliances.
Coordinate with statutory consultants, inspectors, government departments, and authorities.
Ensure compliance related to contract labour and contractor documentation.
Monitor minimum wages, working hours, overtime, leave, holidays, and other applicable employment requirements.
Prepare documentation for labour inspections, audits, and statutory reviews.
Keep management updated on important changes in labour legislation and compliance requirements.
4. Factory Operations & Administration
Coordinate daily manpower deployment with the production team.
Monitor workforce availability and ensure adequate manpower for production requirements.
Coordinate shift planning, overtime, attendance and workforce productivity.
Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to factory rules and HR policies.
Coordinate canteen, transport, housekeeping, security, uniforms, PPE and other employee welfare/admin requirements, as applicable.
Support factory management in implementing operational policies and processes.
Assist in maintaining a safe, disciplined and productive workplace.
Coordinate with Production, Stores, Purchase, Accounts, Quality and other departments as required.
5. Contract Labour Management
Manage documentation and records for contract workers.
Verify contractor manpower, attendance, wage records and statutory documents.
Ensure contractors meet applicable statutory and company requirements.
Coordinate with contractors regarding manpower deployment, absenteeism, wage issues and compliance.
Maintain contractor records and support periodic compliance audits.
6. Reporting & MIS
Prepare regular HR and factory manpower MIS reports.
Track headcount, attendance, absenteeism, overtime, attrition, recruitment and payroll data.
Provide management with workforce-related insights and reports.
Maintain dashboards and records for HR and compliance activities.
Identify manpower and operational issues and recommend corrective actions.
Candidate Profile
Education:
Graduate in HR, Business Administration, Labour Welfare, Commerce or a related field.
MBA/PGDM in HR or relevant qualification will be an advantage.
Experience:
5–10 years of relevant experience in HR, payroll, labour compliance and factory operations.
Prior experience in a manufacturing/factory environment is strongly preferred.
Experience handling blue-collar/workmen and contract labour is highly desirable.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of factory HR and employee relations.
Practical understanding of payroll and attendance systems.
Good knowledge of labour/statutory compliance.
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
Good communication and people-management skills.
Ability to handle workers and employee grievances tactfully.
Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and HR/payroll software.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of HR operations.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced factory environment.
Preferred Candidate
We are looking for a hands-on HR professional rather than a purely corporate HR profile. The candidate should be comfortable spending time on the factory floor, interacting directly with workers and supervisors, resolving practical workforce issues, and ensuring that people, payroll, compliance and factory operations run smoothly every day.
