Position-ETL/Data Warehouse Test Automation Engineer
Location- Bangalore/Chennai/Hyderabad
Experience: 5–8 Years
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced ETL/Data Warehouse Test Automation Engineer to join our data quality team. This role focuses on validating data pipelines and warehouse solutions in a regulated (GxP) environment, combining strong SQL and Python-based automation skills with hands-on Computer System Validation (CSV) experience.
What You'll Do
Design and execute test strategies for ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse solutions
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and source-to-target testing
Build and maintain automated test scripts using Python for data quality checks
Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data transformations and business rules
Support Computer System Validation (CSV) activities in compliance with GxP requirements
Ensure traceability, auditability, and documentation standards required in regulated environments
Investigate data discrepancies and defects through root-cause analysis
Explore and apply AI/GenAI tools to enhance test automation efficiency and coverage
Collaborate with data engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure release quality
What We're Looking For
5–8 years of experience in ETL/Data Warehouse testing and test automation
Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and data validation logic
Proficiency in Python for building test automation frameworks
Hands-on experience with data validation, reconciliation, and data completeness checks
Experience with GxP-regulated environments and Computer System Validation (CSV)
Practical exposure to AI/GenAI tools in a QA/testing context (e.g., AI-assisted test automation)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in an Agile environment
Good to Have
Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, dbt, Azure Data Factory, etc.)
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
Exposure to test management tools (JIRA, QTest, etc.)
Pharma/Life Sciences domain experience
