Senior Frontend Developer

About the Role:
We're looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer wiKotlintrong frontend background to become part of our Enterprise Services team. The team's central purpose is to generate value throughout our end-to-end eCommerce platform, encompassing Storefront, Catalog Management, Fulfillment, and our Data Platform, through well-crafted APIs, backend services, and the admin tools that manage them.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the web experiences layered on top of that platform: the customer-facing storefront as well as the internal admin interfaces our operators depend on every day. This position leans toward frontend but isn't exclusively frontend. We expect you to carry a feature all the way through, venturing into the Node.js/TypeScript services that support it instead of halting at the API boundary—and sometimes into minor updates within our native iOS or Android apps, where AI-assisted tooling makes this achievable without being a mobile expert. We wholeheartedly support AI-assisted development tools and anticipate engineers to utilize tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor to expedite development, enhance code quality, and operate more efficiently.
What You'll Do:
Create and take ownership of customer-facing storefront experiences and internal admin interfaces with React and TypeScript
Exhibit a keen sense for user experience, safeguarding usability while containing complexity
Craft component APIs and shared UI patterns that fellow engineers can extend
Venture down the stack into our Node.js/TypeScript services—REST and GraphQL—when a feature demands it
Engage in technical design and architecture conversations for new features and services
Assume responsibility for the performance and accessibility of your deliverables: bundle size, rendering performance, and Core Web Vitals
Coordinate with product teams in domain-driven, cross-functional squads
Work alongside engineers throughout the team via pairing, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing—assisting in elevating everyone's standards
Produce clear, maintainable documentation to aid team knowledge-sharing
Manage production issues from beginning to end, including involvement in on-call rotations
Requirements:
5+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven history of owning products delivered to production
Established ability to see projects through end-to-end while working with other engineers—either formally as a tech lead or informally as a senior IC
Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Robust frontend capabilities: production experience with ReactJS and TypeScript, plus a firm understanding of the browser—rendering, state management, bundling, and network behavior
Proven capacity to operate across the stack: at ease within a Node.js service, reading and writing API code rather than merely consuming it
Experience crafting REST and/or GraphQL contracts, not simply calling them
Firm grasp of performance optimization basics: indexing, data structures, memory usage, and async vs. sync execution
Strong dedication to testing—experience authoring unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
A discerning eye for UI quality—you detect when something feels wrong and correct it without being prompted
Authentic curiosity about unfamiliar codebases, and ease with using AI tooling to become productive in them swiftly
Nice-to-Haves:
Previous experience with eCommerce platforms or marketplace systems
Experience with design systems or component libraries shared across multiple applications
Experience using LLM APIs and agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, the Vercel AI SDK)
Experience with distributed systems (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture)
Fundamental DevOps and infrastructure experience—familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or comparable tooling
Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Cloud Monitoring)
Any exposure to native mobile development—Swift/iOS or Kotlin/Android
