We're partnering with a highly profitable, stealth technology company at the intersection of artificial intelligence and systematic trading. Built by senior researchers and technologists from some of the world's leading quantitative trading firms and frontier AI organizations, they're creating an environment where exceptional research directly shapes both the firm's technology and long-term competitive edge.
Rather than operating within large research organizations, you'll work as part of a deliberately small group of researchers tackling open-ended problems across machine learning, mathematics, optimization, and financial markets. Researchers have significant autonomy, immediate impact, and the resources to pursue ambitious ideas.
The team is selectively hiring researchers across several disciplines, including:
• Frontier AI Researchers - Experience advancing state-of-the-art models across LLMs, reasoning systems, reinforcement learning, multimodal learning, generative AI, or foundation models.
• Quantitative Researchers - Deep expertise in probability, statistics, optimization, market microstructure, signal research, alpha generation, or systematic portfolio construction.
• Machine Learning Researchers - Specialists in developing novel learning algorithms, large-scale experimentation, representation learning, online learning, or reinforcement learning.
• Research Scientists - Exceptional scientists with a proven track record of solving difficult theoretical and applied problems, whether in AI, mathematics, physics, computer science, or quantitative finance.
The common denominator isn't a specific background—it's exceptional research ability. They're looking for people who have repeatedly demonstrated the ability to solve problems that very few others can.
Compensation: Up to $450,000 base + large guaranteed cash bonus in the 100-400% of base arena + meaningful equity
Location: Fully Remote within the US
