Senior Full-Stack Engineer | Python, React & AWS

About the Role
We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer who can take ownership of systems from architecture and development through deployment, reliability, and ongoing production support.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone comfortable working across backend and frontend development, cloud infrastructure, databases, third-party integrations, security, and production operations.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just build features, but understands how to design, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve systems over the long term.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work across the full application and infrastructure stack, including:
Designing and building backend services
Developing and maintaining frontend applications
Managing and supporting cloud infrastructure
Optimizing databases and application performance
Integrating third-party APIs and external services
Supporting and troubleshooting production systems
Improving system reliability, scalability, and security
Contributing to AI/LLM integrations, data pipelines, automation, and other systems supporting the company’s products and operations
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of hands-on production engineering experience
Strong Python experience, particularly with Django and FastAPI
Strong experience with React or another modern JavaScript framework
Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFront, Route 53, SQS/SNS, and Secrets Manager
Advanced PostgreSQL experience, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and replication
Experience with Elasticsearch, including indexing, query optimization, and cluster management
Experience with Redis and Celery for caching and asynchronous processing
Experience integrating multiple third-party APIs
Hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI APIs, including OpenAI and/or Anthropic
Experience building data pipelines and aggregation systems
Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security, including encryption, audit logging, access controls, and secure handling of sensitive data
Ability to independently own systems from architecture through production deployment and ongoing support
Nice to Have
Data engineering or ETL experience
Machine learning or applied AI engineering experience
Experience building infrastructure for regulated industries

We value engineers who have demonstrated long-term ownership of the systems and products they build.
A history of meaningful tenure at previous companies is preferred. We’re especially interested in candidates who can show that they’ve helped build, maintain, and improve production systems over several years rather than working primarily on short-term projects.
