The Role
An independent trader requires an MT5 Coder to design, develop, and maintain Expert Advisors (EAs), indicators, and scripts for the MetaTrader 5 platform to support and optimize trading strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include coding and debugging MT5 solutions, backtesting and optimizing trading algorithms, and integrating risk management rules and execution logic. The role involves collaborating with non-technical trader to translate strategy ideas into robust, automated systems, documenting code and workflows, and monitoring performance to identify areas for improvement. This is a full-time remote role.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in MT5/MQL5 programming, including development of EAs, custom indicators, and scripts.
Experience with algorithmic trading, backtesting, and optimization of trading strategies.
Solid understanding of financial markets, trading concepts, and risk management principles.
Competence in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in a demo and live trading environment, and also in VPS.
Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and structured development workflows.
Ability to analyze data and use quantitative methods to refine and validate strategies.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with traders and technical peers.
Programming, Mathematics, and Statistics experiences are MUST.
Experience with other trading platforms or languages (Pine, Python, C, C++).
