Role Description The Fintech Consultant role is a full-time remote position focused on advising clients on fintech strategy, product development, and technology-enabled financial services. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client needs, analyzing market and regulatory trends, and developing recommendations for digital payment solutions, lending platforms, wealthtech tools, or other fintech offerings. The consultant will design and refine business models, support requirement gathering, and collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions align with client goals and compliance standards. The role also involves preparing clear documentation, reports, and presentations, leading client workshops, and managing project timelines and deliverables. The consultant is expected to work independently, maintain strong client relationships, and continuously stay informed about emerging fintech innovations.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of financial services, digital banking, payments, lending, or wealth management, with experience applying technology to improve financial products and processes.
Proficiency in market and competitive analysis, business case development, and strategic planning for fintech initiatives.
Ability to translate business needs into clear solution requirements and to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and compliance teams.
Excellent skills in written and verbal communication, including preparing client-ready reports, presentations, and recommendations.
Demonstrated experience managing projects or workstreams, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a remote environment.
Comfort working directly with clients, facilitating workshops or stakeholder meetings, and building trusted advisory relationships.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and risk considerations in digital finance, such as data security, consumer protection, and compliance frameworks.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications in fintech, project management, or finance are a plus.
