About the Role
Role Purpose
Pramod Group is looking for an experienced Senior Manager / Head – Engineering & Maintenance to lead the complete engineering, maintenance and utilities function across our food manufacturing facilities and large-scale kitchens. The role will be responsible for ensuring high equipment availability, minimal breakdowns, safe operations, preventive/predictive maintenance, utility efficiency, engineering projects, automation and maintenance of machinery used in sweets, namkeen, bakery and high-volume commercial kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
Lead complete Engineering & Maintenance operations across manufacturing plants and central/large kitchens.
Ensure maximum availability and reliability of all production machinery and utilities.
Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, TBM and CBM schedules.
Minimize production downtime, breakdown frequency and maintenance costs.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis for major breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
Establish SOPs, maintenance checklists, machine history records and engineering documentation.
Monitor MTBF, MTTR, breakdown %, PM compliance and equipment availability.
Manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets, engineering projects, machine installation and commissioning.
Lead greenfield, brownfield, capacity-expansion and plant-modernization projects.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Stores, EHS, Projects and Operations.
Manage engineering vendors, contractors, AMC/service providers and equipment manufacturers.
Optimize energy consumption, utility cost and maintenance expenditure.
Build and manage a strong team of engineers, technicians, electricians, fitters and utility operators.
The reference profile similarly includes project commissioning, utility equipment, budgeting, vendors, contractors and engineering project management.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in:
Sweets Manufacturing: Khoa/mawa systems, steam-jacketed kettles, milk-processing equipment, syrup systems, laddu/boondi equipment, automatic fryers, cooling, refrigeration and packaging.
Namkeen Manufacturing: Continuous/batch fryers, sev/bhujia lines, extruders, seasoning drums, oil filtration, conveyors, weighing and automatic packaging lines.
Large Kitchens: Bulk cooking kettles, tilting pans, fryers, ovens, tandoors, mixers, grinders, steamers, refrigeration, cold rooms, kitchen ventilation and commercial kitchen equipment.
Plant Utilities: Boiler, refrigeration, HVAC, compressors, DG, transformers, HT/LT panels, PLC/SCADA, ETP/STP/WTP and fire systems.
The candidate should also have experience in Preventive/Predictive Maintenance, RCA, CAPEX projects, installation & commissioning, automation, energy conservation, budgeting, vendor management and engineering-team leadership.
