About the Role
At PDX, a senior strategic partner will work across key accounts and new business opportunities to solve complex business, brand and customer challenges.
This is a senior, client-facing role for a strategist who is equally comfortable shaping the thinking behind a pitch, developing strategy for an existing client, and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic planning and develop business, brand, digital and communication strategies for key accounts and new business pitches.
Develop strategic narratives, positioning, propositions and platform frameworks for client engagements and new business pitches.
Shape customer journeys, digital experiences and integrated solutions across creative, media, data and technology.
Translate strategic thinking into clear briefs and direction for creative, experience, technology and execution teams.
Partner with agency and client leadership to identify growth opportunities, define go-to-market approaches and develop strategic roadmaps.
Represent PDX in senior client and prospect meetings, workshops and pitch presentations, travelling as required.
Bring a strong point of view on consumer behaviour, category dynamics, competitive landscape, culture and emerging trends to strengthen strategic recommendations.
Lead and contribute to new business pitches, helping develop differentiated propositions and compelling stories that influence senior decision-makers.
Guide and mentor junior strategy and planning talent on strategic frameworks, problem-solving and pitch craft.
Evaluate the effectiveness of strategic recommendations and use learnings to refine future approaches.
Stay ahead of developments in digital experience, AI, technology, consumer behaviour and emerging business models.
What We're Looking For
10 –12 years of experience in strategy, planning, digital strategy, account planning or integrated marketing, preferably within an agency or consulting environment.
Strong experience developing integrated strategies across brand, digital, customer experience and communications.
Demonstrated experience contributing to or leading new business pitches and developing compelling strategic propositions.
Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to distil complex business and consumer problems into clear, actionable direction.
Excellent storytelling, presentation and client-facing communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
Experience translating business objectives into strategic frameworks, customer journeys, propositions, briefs or go-to-market strategies.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, workshops and pitches as required.
Good to Have
Experience working across multiple client categories and business verticals.
Exposure to AI-led innovation, digital transformation, martech or emerging technologies.
Experience working within a Power of One or integrated agency model.
Experience in consulting, advisory or independent strategy work.
An established network across the advertising, marketing, digital or consulting ecosystem.
