Role Description The VP of Business Operations is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing core business processes across the organization. This position will manage day-to-day operational planning, ensure efficient workflow between editorial, marketing, sales, and finance teams, and establish performance metrics and reporting. The VP will lead program management for strategic initiatives, drive operational improvements, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation in partnership with senior leadership. The role includes developing and refining business operations policies, monitoring financial and operational performance, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to support the company’s growth and mission in environmental media.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Business Operations and Operations Management to oversee and improve organizational processes.
Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, develop insights, and support strategic decision-making.
Proven experience in Program Management to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.
Solid Finance skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
Experience in a media, publishing, or environmental-focused organization is highly beneficial.
Track record of leading remote teams, driving accountability, and promoting inclusive, collaborative work environments.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
