Role Description The Director of Institutional Marketing is a full-time remote role responsible for shaping and executing marketing strategies that grow Environmental Business Review’s presence among institutional audiences, including corporations, government agencies, academic institutions, and nonprofits. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans, overseeing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, and coordinating with editorial, sales, and design teams to align institutional outreach with the magazine’s mission. This role manages market positioning, branding, and messaging for institutional segments, analyzes market and audience data to refine strategies, and builds partnerships that expand readership and subscriptions. The director will also lead the marketing team, set performance goals, manage budgets, and report on marketing outcomes to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Marketing Management and Marketing for developing and leading institutional marketing strategies and campaigns.
Candidates should possess skills in Market Planning and Market Research for designing data-driven marketing plans and identifying institutional audience needs.
Candidates should possess skills in Sales and relationship development to support subscription growth and institutional partnerships.
Experience in B2B or institutional marketing, preferably in media, publishing, or environmental sectors.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and oversee complex, multi-channel marketing initiatives.
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with proficiency in marketing analytics tools and CRM platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
Commitment to environmental sustainability and interest in environmental policy, technology, or corporate responsibility is highly beneficial.
