Work Location: Remote (United States; preference for candidates located in PST)
Work Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day (NOTE: must be able to work during standard business hours in PST)
Compensation: $86.00 to $100.00 per hour
Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Epic OpTime Consultant to support the perioperative/surgical module within an Epic environment. This is a fully remote, hands-on consulting role focused on building and configuring surgical workflows, including surgical scheduling, preference cards, intraoperative documentation, and anesthesia records.
The ideal candidate will have strong Epic OpTime experience and be comfortable translating clinical and business requirements into effective Epic solutions while collaborating with stakeholders on workflow design and implementation.
Responsibilities:
Build and configure Epic OpTime functionality supporting surgical scheduling, preference cards, intraoperative documentation, and anesthesia records.
Configure OpTime workflows, including case scheduling, preference cards, intraoperative documentation, and anesthesia-related workflows.
Translate surgical and perioperative workflows into Epic solutions that support clinical safety, operational requirements, and regulatory standards.
Facilitate design discussions with clinical, business, and technical stakeholders.
Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into Epic OpTime configuration and workflow solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify workflow needs, resolve issues, and support effective solution design.
Ensure OpTime workflows appropriately support requirements related to HIPAA, ICD-10, and audit trails.
Provide functional expertise and guidance throughout implementation, testing, and ongoing support activities.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Current Epic OpTime certification required.
Professional experience working with Epic OpTime in a healthcare environment.
Hands-on experience building and configuring surgical scheduling, preference cards, intraoperative documentation, and/or anesthesia records.
Strong understanding of perioperative and surgical workflows.
Experience translating business and clinical requirements into Epic solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Epic Anesthesia certification.
Hands-on experience supporting Epic Anesthesia functionality and workflows.
Experience working across integrated perioperative workflows within Epic.
Experience facilitating clinical workflow and solution design discussions.
