Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform to convert non-wood agricultural waste into industrial enzymes and advanced biomaterials. The company prioritizes revenue-first enzyme production for sectors such as textiles and wastewater treatment, with a long-term focus on high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF) for sustainable materials. Its technology is tailored to Indian biomass, enabling cost-efficient, scalable, and circular manufacturing. By valorizing farm residues, Cellumantra helps reduce crop-waste burning, lower import dependence, and support a more resilient, climate-conscious industrial ecosystem.
Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for SBLC-B/G Recourse Project Loan Consultants joining as co-founders. The consultant will lead end-to-end project financing efforts, including identifying suitable SBLC/BG-backed loan structures, preparing funding proposals, and coordinating with banks, financial institutions, and international lenders. Day-to-day tasks include assessing project viability, advising on risk mitigation, structuring loan terms, and supporting negotiations to secure sustainable and cost-effective capital. The role involves close collaboration with the founding team to align financing strategies with the biorefinery’s growth roadmap, maintaining transparent stakeholder communication, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and documentation standards. As a co-founder, the consultant will contribute to strategic decision-making, help build partnerships in financial and industrial networks, and participate in long-term value creation for the company.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Loans and Financial Services, including project financing, structured credit, and SBLC/BG-backed instruments.
Solid Finance skills, with the ability to conduct financial modeling, risk assessment, and capital structuring for industrial projects.
Proven Sales and business development capabilities to engage lenders, investors, and institutional partners, and to drive funding opportunities.
Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on professional, clear communication and relationship management with financial and industrial stakeholders.
Experience in project finance for infrastructure, renewable energy, or bio-based industries is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with international trade finance, export credit, and banking documentation processes is an advantage.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, demonstrate ownership, and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary founding team.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CA, FRM) are a plus.
