Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform to convert non-wood agricultural waste into industrial enzymes and advanced biomaterials. The company focuses on revenue-first enzyme production for sectors such as textiles and wastewater treatment, followed by high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF) for sustainable materials. Its technology is optimized for Indian biomass, enabling cost-efficient, scalable, and circular manufacturing. By valorizing farm residues, Cellumantra helps reduce farm-waste burning and import dependency while supporting a more sustainable materials ecosystem.
Role Description This is a full-time remote role for Global STARTUP Fund Raising Consultants for Agricultural Waste Recycling. The role involves identifying and engaging potential investors, impact funds, and strategic partners across global markets, with a focus on climate, circular economy, and deep-tech portfolios. The consultant will prepare pitch decks, financial models, and data rooms tailored to different investor profiles, and coordinate fundraising campaigns from outreach through negotiations and closing. Day-to-day tasks include market and investor research, refining the startup’s funding narrative, advising on fundraising strategy and deal structures, and collaborating closely with founders on timelines, milestones, and investor relations. The consultant will also help map grant and accelerator opportunities, ensure compliance with relevant funding requirements, and provide regular progress reporting to the leadership team.
Qualifications
Fundraising and investment skills, including experience in startup capital raising, investor outreach, deal structuring, and familiarity with venture capital, impact investing, and grant mechanisms.
Financial and analytical skills, such as building and reviewing financial models, conducting market and competitor analysis, and assessing unit economics and scalability.
Strategic and business development skills, including startup growth planning, partnership development, and aligning fundraising strategy with business milestones.
Communication and presentation skills, including creating clear pitch decks, writing investor-facing materials, and delivering compelling presentations to diverse stakeholders.
Domain and sector understanding related to climate tech, circular economy, biotechnology, bio-based materials, or agricultural waste recycling, with the ability to translate technical concepts into investor-ready narratives.
Strong organizational and project management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple investor conversations, track timelines, and work independently in a remote setting.
Prior experience raising funds for early-stage or deep-tech startups, particularly in emerging markets, is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in startup fundraising and consulting.
