Job Title: Case Officer
Department : Operations - Business Immigration
Reporting To: Senior Case Officer / Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:-
The Case Officer - L-1A Business Immigration is responsible for managing L-1A business immigration cases from initiation through petition filing. The role involves evaluating client
eligibility, understanding business operations, coordinating with multiple internal departments,
drafting immigration documentation, reviewing supporting evidence, maintaining client
communication, and ensuring that complete, high-quality petitions are prepared for submission
to USCIS. The Case Officer acts as the central coordinator between clients and internal teams
to ensure every case is accurate, compliant, and submitted within prescribed timelines.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Client Eligibility Assessment & Case Initiation:-
Conduct initial assessment of prospective L-1A cases to determine eligibility based on business structure, ownership, managerial capacity, qualifying relationship, and operational requirements.
Analyze the client's existing business model, industry, organizational hierarchy, and expansion objectives to determine appropriate case strategy.
Review available documentation and identify additional evidence required for successful petition preparation.
Explain documentation requirements and procedural timelines to clients during the onboarding stage.
2. End-to-End Case Management:-
Manage assigned L-1A petitions from document collection through final filing.
Prepare and maintain case plans, document trackers, and internal progress reports.
Monitor timelines and ensure milestones are achieved within scheduled deadlines.
Coordinate all internal activities required for timely petition preparation.
3. Document Collection & Client Coordination:-
Collect corporate, financial, operational, employment, and legal documentation from clients.
Regularly communicate with clients regarding pending documents and clarification requests.
Verify the completeness, authenticity, and consistency of documents received.
Maintain organized digital case files and document repositories.
4. Business Analysis & Documentation:-
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client's Indian business, including operations,
products or services, management structure, revenue model, and future expansion plans.
Draft company profiles, business summaries, organizational descriptions, managerial narratives,
and operational documentation relating to the Indian entity.
Review business records to ensure all supporting evidence accurately reflects the client's actual
business operations.
Ensure documentation aligns with USCIS requirements and overall petition strategy.
5. Coordination with Business Plan Team:-
Coordinate with the Business Plan Team to provide complete business information required for
preparation of U.S. business plans.
Share operational data, financial inputs, organizational information, hiring plans, investment
details, and business objectives.
Review draft business plans to ensure consistency with the petition narrative and supporting
documentation.
Coordinate revisions whenever inconsistencies or additional requirements are identified.
6. Drafting Immigration Documents:-
Prepare L-1A immigration documentation, including support letters, organizational explanations,
management narratives, job descriptions, company summaries, qualifying relationship documents,
and other supporting materials.
Draft explanatory letters and supporting documents required for petition preparation.
Ensure all drafted documentation is internally consistent and factually accurate.
7. Internal Coordination:-
Coordinate with the Graphics Team for preparation of organizational charts, company structure
diagrams, office layouts, marketing materials, presentation graphics, and other visual evidence
supporting the petition.
Work closely with document preparation, quality control, legal, and management teams
throughout the case lifecycle.
Facilitate timely resolution of documentation queries across departments.
8. Quality Control & Documentation Review:-
Perform comprehensive quality checks of all petition documents before submission.
Review drafted documents for accuracy, completeness, formatting consistency, grammar, and
compliance with internal quality standards.
Cross-verify information across all supporting documents to eliminate discrepancies.
Ensure financial records, corporate documents, organizational charts, employment records, and
business plans remain consistent throughout the petition
9. Petition Preparation & Filing:-
Assemble complete L-1A petition packages in accordance with USCIS filing requirements.
Prepare Form I-129 and all applicable L classification supporting documentation.
Verify that all mandatory forms, exhibits, supporting evidence, and filing documents are included
prior to submission.
Coordinate final review and filing of petitions with senior management.
10. Case Documentation & Compliance:-
Maintain complete electronic and physical case records throughout the lifecycle of each petition.
Ensure all confidential client information is handled in accordance with company policies.
Update internal case management systems with accurate case progress and documentation
status.
Stay informed regarding USCIS policy updates, L-1A regulations, filing requirements, and documentation standards.
Required Skills:-
Strong understanding of U.S. L-1A Business Immigration processes.
Excellent business analysis and documentation skills.
Strong drafting and technical writing ability.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
High attention to detail with strong quality control capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Strong communication and client coordination skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management software.
