Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Stores Manager role based in Tiruvallur. The Stores Manager will oversee day-to-day store operations, including inventory management, stock receipt and issuance, and maintenance of accurate records and documentation. The role involves coordinating with procurement and program teams to ensure timely availability of materials, monitoring stock levels, and implementing controls to prevent losses and pilferage. The Stores Manager will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The role also includes supervising store staff, supporting audits, and contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency and support Sevalaya’s service-focused mission.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Store Management skills, including inventory control, stock handling, and basic documentation.
Candidates should possess Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to support internal stakeholders and ensure timely, accurate material support for projects.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with procurement, program teams, and auditors.
Candidates should possess Retail Loss Prevention skills, including implementing checks to minimize shrinkage and ensure asset protection.
Relevant experience in store or warehouse management, preferably in nonprofit, educational, healthcare, or rural development settings.
Ability to use basic computer applications (e.g., spreadsheets, inventory software) and maintain clear, organized records.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and reliability in handling materials and documentation.
Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
