About the Role
We are looking for a Data Science & Analytics Lead with 8+ years of experience in the BFSI/NBFC or Life Insurance domain. The person will lead an analytics vertical, manage teams and work closely with senior business and client stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Data Science & Analytics vertical, including team, projects and delivery.
Develop and oversee machine learning, statistical and predictive models.
Work on BFSI use cases such as credit risk, underwriting, fraud, collections, customer analytics, churn and cross-sell.
For Life Insurance, strong understanding of persistency, lapse, underwriting, claims, customer segmentation and propensity models is preferred.
Translate business problems into practical analytics solutions and drive projects end-to-end.
Manage and mentor Data Scientists and Analysts.
Work with senior stakeholders and clients to understand requirements and present analytical insights.
Identify new analytics opportunities and contribute to the growth of the vertical.
What We Are Looking For
8+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics or Risk Analytics.
Strong experience in BFSI/NBFC or Life Insurance.
Deep understanding of Credit Risk / Risk Modelling or Life Insurance analytics.
Strong hands-on experience in Python, SQL and Machine Learning.
Experience with models such as Logistic Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost, GBM, etc.
Strong understanding of model validation and performance metrics such as Gini, KS, AUC, PSI and Lift.
Experience in team/vertical management and stakeholder management.
Strong business understanding and ability to connect analytics with business outcomes.
