Senior Electrical Design Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to strengthen its Electrical Design team and lead the design and engineering of electrical systems across industries. As OEMs for flat steel processing lines, the role spans Cold Rolling Mills, Galvanizing Lines, Color Coating Lines, Pickling Lines, and beyond — with automation capabilities across multiple industrial sectors.
ELIGIBILITY & CANDIDATE PROFILE • Qualification: B.Tech / BE in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE). • Domain Experience: Mandatory hands-on experience in electrical design for industrial machinery or process lines. • Software Proficiency: Mandatory strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent design tools. •
• Experience Level: 5+ years of proven electrical design experience, including power distribution, panel design, and drive systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Designing electrical schematics, panel layouts, and cable schedules for industrial machinery and process lines. • Developing and reviewing power distribution systems and drive system architectures. • Integrating PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systems into the overall electrical design. • Coordinating closely with mechanical, automation, and procurement teams to ensure design alignment. • Maintaining strong documentation discipline and ownership of all engineering deliverables. • Supporting site visits and travel as required for installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting.
KEY TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL SKILLS • Proficiency in electrical schematic design using AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN or equivalent tools. • In-depth technical knowledge of power distribution, panel design, and drive systems. • Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and HMI integration. • Strong understanding of industrial automation standards, safety norms, and documentation practices. • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with Production, Automation, and Procurement teams. • Prior exposure to flat steel processing lines is a definite advantage.
