Vice President, Trading Operations

Role Description The Vice President, Trading Operations at Nova Infra Invest is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing daily trading activities and ensuring efficient execution across markets. This role leads the trading operations team, sets and refines trading procedures, and monitors trade flow to maintain accuracy, compliance, and risk controls. The Vice President will collaborate with portfolio managers and risk professionals to implement trading strategies, optimize liquidity, and manage transaction costs. Responsibilities include supervising trade settlement and reconciliation, resolving operational issues with brokers and custodians, and enhancing systems and workflows in partnership with technology teams. The role also involves developing performance metrics, preparing operational reports for senior leadership, and contributing to strategic initiatives to scale trading operations in line with firm growth.
Qualifications
Strong trading expertise, including hands-on experience with Trading and Equities within institutional or buy-side environments.
Proficiency in Trading Strategies and Finance, with the ability to align operational practices with broader investment objectives.
Advanced Analytical Skills, including data-driven decision-making, performance analysis, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing trading operations teams, fostering collaboration, and mentoring team members.
Deep understanding of market structure, trade lifecycle, best execution, and regulatory requirements relevant to trading operations.
Experience working with OMS/EMS platforms, trading connectivity, and operational risk controls; familiarity with automation and process improvement is beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with investment, risk, compliance, technology, and external counterparties in a remote setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are advantageous.
