Senior DevOps Engineer — AWS / CI/CD

Halen is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team as we prepare our rideshare and delivery platform for production and launch.
You’ll work closely with our backend, Flutter, frontend, and QA teams to maintain reliable cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, monitoring, security, and production environments.
What You'll Work On
Manage and improve our AWS cloud infrastructure
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend, web, and mobile applications
Manage development, staging, and production environments
Support deployment of Python/FastAPI microservices
Manage containers and Docker-based deployments
Work with Linux servers, scripts, services, permissions, and logs
Manage databases, backups, migrations, and production database operations
Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, alerts, and application health checks
Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and production issues
Manage secrets, access controls, IAM permissions, and infrastructure security
Monitor cloud usage and help control AWS costs
Improve infrastructure automation and deployment reliability
Maintain clear DevOps documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and handover procedures
Work closely with developers and QA to support reliable releases
What We're Looking For
Strong hands-on experience with:
AWS
CI/CD pipelines
Git/GitHub workflows
Docker and containerized applications
Linux
Cloud networking and security
IAM and access management
Monitoring and logging
Database operations and backups
Infrastructure automation
Production troubleshooting
Experience supporting production mobile applications, microservices, real-time systems, rideshare, delivery, logistics, or marketplace platforms is a plus.
Compensation & Commitment
This is currently a part-time, equity-compensated role, approximately 10–15 hours per week with a flexible schedule. You’ll receive shares in Halen for your contribution during this stage.
We’re actively fundraising, with the goal of transitioning the role into a full-time salaried position once funding is secured.
