• Context Evaluation & Groundedness (Ragas, TruLens, Arize Phoenix) | Python (Advanced), SQL, & Security/HIPAA Compliance
Secondary (Good to Have):
• Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers | Airflow, Prefect, or Temporal orchestration
• Vector store RBAC filtering | Automated PHI masking and tokenization tools
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Context Engineer sits within the Applied Machine Learning and AI Engineering department and reports directly to the Director of Artificial Intelligence Solutions. This executive-level professional will solve complex contextual retrieval and data pipeline scalability challenges by engineering production-grade RAG architectures and secure, compliant information payloads for enterprise LLM applications.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, optimize, and scale GenAI/RAG architectures, prompt context strategies, and vector retrieval pipelines for LLM applications.
• Execute advanced document parsing, layout extraction, and dynamic chunking of complex enterprise documents into high-quality contextual units using tools like Unstructured.io, LlamaIndex, or LangChain.
• Architect retrieval systems featuring hybrid search, metadata routing, advanced reranking, and role-based access control (RBAC) filtering within vector databases like Pinecone, pgvector, and Azure AI Search.
• Implement continuous context evaluation and groundedness frameworks utilizing Ragas, TruLens, or Arize Phoenix to measure precision, recall, and prevent hallucinations.
• Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and HITRUST frameworks by deploying automated masking and tokenization tools for sensitive healthcare data (PHI/PII).
