Job Description
An Assistant Project Manager II is needed to join teams delivering complex projects in mission-critical/data center, advanced manufacturing, and water/wastewater markets. This role is built for a construction professional who has developed meaningful commercial-GC project experience and is ready for greater responsibility on demanding work. It requires approximately 90% national project travel, including extended remote-site assignments and rotational schedules — candidates must be comfortable with the travel model before applying.
Select Responsibilities
Support Project Managers and field leadership across project planning, cost control, procurement, schedule coordination, documentation, reporting, and closeout
Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change documentation, subcontractor information, meeting materials, and project records
Assist with subcontractor and vendor coordination while maintaining focus on scope, schedule, quality, and safety
Build working knowledge of technical construction delivery across critical infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, industrial, and water/wastewater environments
Participate in both jobsite and office-based work as project requirements demand
Ideal Candidate
At least four years of relevant construction experience
Current experience with a commercial general contractor or qualifying developer-builder
Experience as an APM, Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer, or comparable role with substantive project-delivery responsibility
Hands-on exposure to project controls, subcontractor coordination, procurement, scheduling, change management, RFIs/submittals, reporting, and closeout support
Interest in mission-critical/data center, advanced manufacturing, industrial, or water/wastewater work
Clear willingness to travel nationally, ideally based near a regional office
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
A construction-management, engineering, or closely related degree is strongly preferred
