Coupa Procurement Analyst - 3 Months Contract

Skillset Needed:
Coupa proficiency is the top priority — does not need to be telecom-specific.
P2P (Procure-to-Pay) experience within Coupa preferred.
Understanding of Coupa's role in IT sourcing; telecom knowledge is a plus but can be more tactical/secondary.
Data analysis skills — several RFPs are coming up, so this person will be involved in supporting that work.
2–5 years of experience, OR someone who is proficient part-time with the software (open to less traditional experience if skills are strong).
Volume/workload is manageable — not expected to be overwhelming.
Will need to create and manage tasks independently.
Strategic Sourcing
Develop and negotiate contracts with new suppliers and/or renegotiate existing contracts to accomplish the lowest total system cost and savings objectives
Responsible for maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships
Responsible for creating cost estimates and expenditure forecasts related to company's procurement
Evaluating sourcing procedures and presenting improvement strategies to senior management for approval
Demonstrates the ability to effectively persuade others to listen, commit and act on a new approach
Strong organizational, risk management and negotiation skills

Familiarity with sourcing and procurement tools
Responsible for analyzing procurement expenditures by sourcing strategic supply partners, developing sourcing policies, and creating cost estimates and forecasts while simultaneously negotiating equitable and cost-effective supply contracts
Collaborate with procurement departments to identify and pursue new suppliers or vendors’ opportunities and conduct market research, cost estimates and forecasts
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain management, math, statistics or other related fields
3 to five years experience in supply chain management directly involved with strategic sourcing management
Experience writing and generating RFPs, RFIs and RFQs to suppliers
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Coupa, Contract Life Cycle, statistical tools, data mining/reporting
Duties and Responsibilities
Play a key role in the success of the strategic sourcing management goals of the company and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved
Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies through the RFx process
Deliver and manage the request for proposal (RFP) process for those categories or sourcing engagements that they manage
Developing strategies to improve the enterprises’ cost structure
Optimize external spending through early involvement in the sourcing life cycle developed through a strong partnership with business stakeholders
Identify opportunities to aggregate enterprise demand to drive value
Demonstrate strong business judgment, integrity, financial acumen and project management skills
Have knowledge of category management practices, experience in negotiating complex contracts/agreements, vendor management skills and demonstrated expertise within key areas, such as IT services (professional services/labor), IT infrastructure, IT and enterprise applications, and/or indirect spend
Evaluates supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and implements supplier agreements by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach an agreement on contract terms and conditions
Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect the continuity of supply and utilize emerging opportunities
