Role Description The VP of Project Management is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple construction projects. This position leads project managers and cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project plans and schedules, monitoring budgets and performance metrics, resolving escalated issues, and coordinating with operations, estimating, and field leadership. The VP of Project Management will refine project management processes, implement best practices, and support strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and client experience. The role also includes mentoring project teams, participating in executive-level decision-making, and reporting on portfolio status to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Strong Project Management skills, including leading complex, multi-site construction projects and overseeing project lifecycles.
Demonstrated Program Management experience in managing a portfolio of projects and aligning them with organizational strategy.
Proficiency in Project Planning, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
Advanced Budgeting and Analytical Skills for forecasting, cost control, data-driven decisions, and performance optimization.
Experience in construction or related industries, with knowledge of building processes, codes, safety standards, and subcontractor coordination.
Proven leadership abilities, including team development, coaching, and effective remote management of project staff.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, executives, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
