Role Description This full-time Jr. Textile Designer role is an on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The Jr. Textile Designer will assist in creating and adapting textile patterns, prints, and embroidery designs for various product lines. Responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing artwork and graphics, coordinating with senior designers and production teams, and ensuring designs are aligned with brand standards and market trends. The role involves translating design briefs into workable samples, maintaining organized design files, and supporting the team with revisions, colorways, and technical specifications. The Jr. Textile Designer will also contribute to trend research and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in textiles and textile prints, with an understanding of fabric types and surface design.
Candidates should possess skills in embroidery design, including creating and adapting motifs suitable for various textile applications.
Candidates should possess skills in graphics and graphic design, including proficiency with common design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field are beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, color sense, and pattern development; ability to follow design briefs and meet deadlines.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment in Ahmedabad.
Previous internship or junior-level experience in textile or fashion design is an advantage.
