Role Descriptio
We are building a bench of experienced product practitioners to collaborate with on the design of training materials, on a project-by-project contract basis. This role exists for two reasons: to bring fresh, current practitioner thinking into our content, and to expand capacity to develop high-quality courses for a growing market. This is not a role where someone hands you a finished outline to type up; we work with you for your point of view and your ability to translate it into professional presentation materials with light execution support from our team. Productside is a US-based company; this role requires availability during Eastern time zone business hours for check-ins and reviews.
What You'll Do
Bring your experience. Productside develops the course concept and defines the target audience. You contribute ideas, examples, and knowledge to shape the learning objectives and course narrative with a focus on executing that vision into polished, delivery-ready materials.
Own the build. Independently produce the complete, delivery-ready package: slide decks built within our templates, plus the full supporting kit of learning objective maps, syllabi, exercise guides, exercise templates and instructions, discussion prompts, and assessments.
Turn feedback into a finished product. Incorporate reviewer feedback across one or more rounds and deliver polished materials ready for production.
Work inside our system. Complete onboarding on our teaching style and brand, then apply it consistently. We give you clear, specific guidance; hitting the bar is yours.
What Success Looks Like
The finished course delivers its learning objectives clearly and holds up in front of real learners, not just on paper.
The content reflects a distinct, current point of view that customers cannot get from generic material elsewhere.
You deliver the complete, polished package on the agreed timeline, and it needs little rework to be production ready.
You carry the build independently from start to finish, helping us bring content to market faster.
Who You Are
You have recent, hands-on experience in product management or product leadership, and bring a real perspective on modern product practice.
You have experience with how AI is reshaping product roles and you are energized by where AI is taking product management in the future.
You engage with the wider product community and can bring the voice of the customer and market into conversation from lived experiences.
You have demonstrated ability to design instructional materials, strong visual communication skills, and a portfolio of polished, professional work delivered independently against scope and deadline.
A practitioner who can carve out focused time and enjoys building polished material solo.
A passion for content design and sharing knowledge.
Preferred: experience creating training for adult learners or in a B2B training or certification setting.
Preferred: instructional-design principles applied in a corporate environment, or a history of speaking, or publishing on product topics.
