Position description: Description
Primary Responsibilities:
To support mechanical testing, inspection, and validation activities for OMS components and assemblies, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance with engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical testing and inspection of components, spares, and assemblies as per approved test procedures.
Operate and maintain testing equipment, tools, and fixtures used in the Mechanical Testing Center.
Execute dimensional checks, load tests, fatigue tests, and material inspections as applicable.
Prepare and document test results, observations, and reports accurately.
Support failure analysis, root‑cause investigations, and corrective action validation.
Ensure adherence to OMS quality standards, safety guidelines, and SOPs within the testing center.
Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, SCM, and Site teams for sample receipt, testing priorities, and dispatch.
Maintain proper records, calibration logs, and documentation for testing equipment.
Assist in process improvement and standardization initiatives for testing methods.
Support audits, inspections, and compliance requirements related to testing activities.
Education & Experience
Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
4–7 years of experience in a mechanical testing, quality, or engineering support role.
Exposure to renewable energy / wind turbine components / heavy engineering is preferred.
Key Skills & Competencies
Good understanding of mechanical components, drawings, and tolerances.
Hands‑on experience with mechanical testing instruments and tools.
Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
Knowledge of quality standards, testing protocols, and safety practices.
Effective coordination and communication skills.
