Head of Procurement

Role Description The Head of Procurement at PK Event Catering is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities to ensure cost-effective, high-quality supplies and services. This role includes developing procurement strategies, identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. The Head of Procurement will collaborate with operations and event planning teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of food, beverages, packaging, and décor materials. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing purchase requests, analyzing pricing and quality, monitoring supplier performance, and updating procurement policies and documentation. The role also includes continuous improvement of procurement processes to support efficiency, budget adherence, and service quality.
Qualifications
Strong Supplier Management and Supplier Evaluation skills, including building relationships and assessing performance.
Proficiency in Contract Negotiation to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service-level agreements.
Hands-on experience in Purchasing and Procurement, preferably in catering, hospitality, or food services.
Ability to analyze costs, compare offers, and make data-driven purchasing decisions.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple requests in a part-time, remote setting.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with operations, event planners, and external partners.
Familiarity with basic procurement or inventory management tools and spreadsheets.
Relevant education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
