Role Description This is a full-time, on-site WTP (Water Treatment Plant) Operator role based at Parle Agro’s facility in Delhi, India. The WTP Operator will manage the daily operation of the water treatment plant, including monitoring equipment, adjusting controls, and ensuring consistent water quality for production processes. Responsibilities include performing routine checks on pumps, filters, dosing systems, and storage tanks, recording operational parameters, and responding to alarms or deviations. The role involves conducting basic water quality tests, maintaining logs and reports, coordinating with maintenance teams for repair or calibration needs, and following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. The WTP Operator will also support housekeeping within the plant area and assist in audits and compliance activities related to water usage and quality standards.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of water treatment processes, including filtration, softening, disinfection, and dosing, with the ability to operate and monitor related equipment.
Ability to perform basic water quality testing (e.g., pH, hardness, TDS, chlorine levels) and accurately document results for quality and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with industrial safety practices, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to hygiene and environmental standards in a beverage or FMCG plant.
Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills to identify equipment issues and coordinate timely maintenance or repairs.
Comfort using control panels, instrumentation, and simple data entry systems to record operational parameters and generate routine reports.
Minimum of a vocational certificate, diploma, or ITI in a relevant field such as water treatment, mechanical, chemical, or industrial operations; prior experience in a bottling plant or beverage industry is an advantage.
Ability to work in shifts, follow detailed instructions, collaborate with production and quality teams, and maintain a high level of reliability and attention to detail.
